The Madness of the Agents of Angola Goes Beyond the Average
According to reports received from the sources on the ground, on 20th February 2011, the Cabindan refugee camp of Seki – Zola in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) was raided by a group of intruders lead by Antoine Nzita Bemba pursuing their mission to destabilise the Cabindan struggle and to corrupt the refugees with money of blood and medicines, which quality is questionable.
This group of intruders had been using the refugees for decades as tools, to make their living and had given them false promises and sometimes subdued them by force.
The group entered the refugee camp, that is supposed to be protected by Congolese security forces and faced the indignity of the Cabindan youth, which confronted them.
The situation did not escalate into violence against the corruptors because the Congolese security forces that were absent when the intruders entered the refugee camp appeared and intervened to pacify the climate that was electrified by the confrontation between the agents of Angola and the Cabindan youth.
The Cabindan youth were dominating the fight over the corruptors in service of the MPLA, Angolan ruling party.
This incident is not the first against the security and the integrity of Cabindan refugees in this region; that is why, the Liberal Forum for the Emancipation of Cabinda urges the HCR to protect the Cabindan refugees according to international norms and to summon the perpetrators to justice and prevent the repeat of such delinquent acts.
It is time for justice to be done and not wait till further bloodshed occurs. The group promised to raid back the refugee camp and expressed threatening words against their opponents.
Further development on the situation will be brought to light as soon as we receive more details.
